It's been hard dealing with this intense weather lately! In Lisbon we had our hottest day yesterday (40ºC) and let me tell you guys it was so NOT funny. I spent the day reaching for the most refreshing (if one can say so) clothes that i could find and eventually i got dressed in chiffon h&m shorts from last year's collection (featured on this fashion set) and a cropped tee. So much better. So i put together a set including all my favorite silhouettes and fabrics for crazy hot days.
Chiffon, lace, crochet sheer tops are a must for me. With cut outs, open back, no sleeves, cropped... you know trying to be as naked as possible without going out wearing only wearing a bikini! Shorts are great too i find them better then skirts for this kind of weather strangely. Also from a fashion point of view if you're wearing a crazy sheer top shorts will make the outfit more casual!

Tem sido difícil lidar com este calor instenso ultimamente! Em Lisboa tivemos o nosso dia mais quente ontem (40ºC) e deixem que vos diga não foi NADA divertido. Eu passei o dia à procura das minhas roupas mais frescas e eventualmente acabei a vestir uns calções de chiffon  da colecção da H&M do ano passado e uma -shirt tipo cropped. Muito melhor. Inspirada por isso criei um set que inclui as minhas silhuetas e tecidos favoritos para dias incrivelmente quentes.
Chiffon, renda, croché e tops transparentes são ua necessidade para mim. Com aberturas de ombros, costas abertas, sem mangas, cropped... vocês sabem, tentar estar o mais nua possível sem sair à rua só de bikini! Calções são óptimos também! Eu acho-os mais confortáveis e frescos que saias para este tipo de tempo curiosamente. E de um ponto de vista mais fashion eles tornam um top incrivelmente transparente muito mais casual!

This Week

how i wore my hair most of the week: loose side french braids / sweet gummies that my dad got me (yum) / random blackout on my street / new purchase: lip and cheek dome from Lily Cole's make up line for Bodyshop / straight hair (for the first time in a few weeks) / wearing my light denim jacket for the first time this year (with a pink floyd tee) summer's here. / pastel yellow toes / a tee i liked in Zara (that could be easily done by myself but oh well.

como usei o meu cabelo durante a maior parte da semana: tranças francesas nos lados do cabelo / gomas que o meu pai me ofereceu (yum) / um apagão inesperado na minha rua / nova compra: lip and cheek dome da colecção de maquilhagem da Lily Cole para a Bodyshop / cabelo liso (pela primeira vez em semanas) / a usar o meu blusão de ganga claro pela primeira vez este ano (com uma t-shirt de Pink Floyd) o verão chegou. / unhas dos pés amarelo pastel / uma t-shirt de que gostei na Zara que podia fazer facilmente, oh bem...

The first time i'm really confused about a nastygal item. Not sure if i hate it or if i just find it super weird. I'm all for body harnesses  but this is like... a shirt harness? Maybe if it was styled with another outfit without so much going on? I. just. don't. know.

A primeira vez que fiquei mesmo confusa em relação a uma peça da Nastygal. Não sei se a odeio ou acho apenas super estranha. Adoro arnêses de corpo mas isto é tipo... um arnês em forma de camisa? Talvez combinado com um outfit diferente mais simples? Eu. não. sei.

mixing it up: Retro x Pastel Goth

I've been loving all that's retro, glam curls, girly bralets & bold lips and i'm trying to mix things up with my pastel obsession and usual love for everything black and edgy. Something like this came up. Can we say retro pastel goth? ahah but in all seriousness now I really love the combination. What do you guys think?

Ultimamente amo tudo o que é retro: cabelo em caracóis glamurosos, corpetes femininos e lábios vistosos. E tenho estado a tentar "agitar as águas" combinando isto com a minha obsessão por pastéis e paixão habitual por tudo o que é preto e fora do comum. Algo do género surgiu: Podemos dizer pastel gótico- retro? ahaha não mas a sério, adoro esta combinação. O que é que vocês acham?

Emma Cutout Dress from Nastygal

I love this dress it's the perfect little black dress with a twist. It's on sale on nastygal, they have my size and i really want it! But i heard a lot of bad experiences with the custom fees when you order stuff from USA to EU.
Has anyone ordered something from nastygal?xx

Eu adroro este vestido, é o perfeito pequeno vestido preto com um detalhe inesperado. Está em saldos no site da nastygal, têm o meu tamanho e eu quero-o mesmo!!! Mas ouvi uma data de más experiências com os custos de alfândega quando se encomenda coisas dos Estados Unidos para a união Europeia.

Inspirational Thuesday #2

Still feeling the soft pastels and braided hairstyles :)

I'm having fun combining them with strong colors like rich browns and dark blues as you can see in the 2nd picture, a photo i took from my favourite color combo of the week. I'm loving white lace (yet again) but in small details like hair acessories. And i'm loving spider lashes which is odd since i hardly use mascara but i shall try this look with a soft peachy lip!xx

Estou a divertir-me a combiná-los com cores fortes como castanhos ricos e azuis escuros como podem ver na 2ª foto da moodboard, uma fotografia que tirei à minha combinação cromática favorita da semana! Também estou a adorar renda branca (mais uma vez) mas em pequenos detalhes como acessórios de cabelo. E também a adorar pestanas "aranha" o que é estranho porque raramente uso máscara mas tenciono experimentar este look com um batom pêssego! xx

Hello everyone! I'm thinking about doing a moodboard every week so I can organize my fashion mood swings. Now and then I'll find some pictures that really inspire me to put together an outfit and I'm trying to "squeeze" this creativity. This week I want to explore braids, the lighttest pastel shades that I can find, lilac and big botanical floral patterns! (The last picture is actually my 50's tea dress from primark). I'm feeling quite romantic this week :)

Olá! Estou a pensar fazer uma moodboard todas as semanas para organizar os meus humores em relação à "moda". De vez em quando encontro fotos que me inspiram em juntar um conjunto de roupa e estou a tentar aproveitar essa criatividade toda. Esta semana quero explorar tranças, os tons pastel mais claros que encontrar, lilás e padrões florais botânicos grandes! (A propósito, a ultima foto é do meu vestido estilo 50's que comprei na Primark). Estou a sentir-me bastante romântica esta semana :)

Staple #1 - The skater skirt

Hey guys!
For months i've been looking for a "go to" black skirt that i could dress up or dress down very easily. I have a lot of skater dresses so i knew this was the best silhouette for what i had in mind. It's a very flattering shape (to all body  types i believe)  feminine yet simple because it shows your body but not as much as a bodycon skirt would. I finally found the perfect skirt in topshop and i've been loving it! I created some outfit options based on how I've been wearing it.

Besides Topshop ASOS is another online store that usually has a lot of skirts in this style. Oddly enough I couldn't find any black skater skirt in Lisbon. I tried Zara, Pull&Bear, Primark and Bershka and there were a lot of floral skirts but none in a block colour. Of course these shops aren't exactly cheap and buying them online means that we will have to add shipping costs but when buying a staple piece you have to remember that you'll get a lot of use from it so the most important is the quality of your item and that you're 100% happy with it.

Also just because it's a staple piece doesn't mean it has to be black. Nastygal another online shop has some lovely neon skater skirts. Unfortunately their price is out of my range ah! But some of you might like it.
