Monochrome Madness

Yes, most of you probably already noticed black&white patterns are trending so hard right now. But I just can't help it. I've been so surprised with 2012's trends: burgundy, leather, velvet, studs... Because those were things I've been loving for a long time and it's really interesting for me to see people interpreting those trends (there were a few over studded disasters but oh well!). Now with the black and white dotted, striped and checkered madness I'm just in heaven right now. To think my friends made fun of me for owning 3 different black&white stripe sweaters ha!

Sim, a maior parte de vocês provavelmente já percebeu que os padrões monocromáticos estão super na moda neste momento. Mas eu não consigo evitar. Fiquei tão surpresa com as tendências de 2012: borgonha, cabedal, veludo, tachas... Porque eram coisas que já adorava há bastante tempo e foi bastante interessante ver tantas pessoas a intrepertar essas tendências à sua maneira (aconteceram alguns desastres com "demasiadas" tachas, mas pronto!). Agora com a loucura às bolinhas, riscas e xadrez monocromático estou no céu! E pensar que os meus amigos gozam comigo por ter 3 camisolas às riscas pretas e brancas ha!

I love those polkadot shorts (nastygal) unfortunately I can't justify buying them as I already own 2 polkadot dresses (black with white dots/ white with black dots - insanity)
The skirt (Romwe) is just amazing. It's a tweed skirt with a houndstooth pattern. C'mon.
The striped sweater (Pull&Bear) and dress (H&M) have this really cool optical illusion feeling to them which makes them statement pieces by themselves.
I tend to find animal prints kinda tacky but that leopard (i think) sweater (Pull&Bear) is so amazing, the pattern looks more like a twisted version of kiss stains. It went on sale a few days ago and now I can't find it :(


I find it pretty daring to clash different styles of patterns, but you can't go wrong with black&white because it's a perfect color combo: simple, fresh and put together. A red lip will be the cherry on top. I'll leave you guys with some inspiration.

Eu acho bastante corajoso contrastar dois padrões diferentes num outfit, mas é difícil errar com preto&branco porque é uma combinação cromática perfeita: simples, moderno e sofisticado. Lábios vermelhos é a cereja no topo. Deixo-vos com alguma inspiração.

Dica: Preços dos Saldos Pull&Bear

Olá! Este post é somente para um pequeno conselho: Se querem comprar alguma coisa nos saldos da loja Pull&bear aconselho-vos a ir directamente à loja. Isto porque aqui há uns dias estive numa e reparei numa considerável diferença nos preços da roupa da loja e os que estão no site.

 

Como podem ver este top florido peplum é 9,99€ no site mas na loja custou apenas 5,99€

Eu perguntei directamente na loja porque é que os preços não correspondiam aos do site e disseram-me que os preços eram exactamente iguais e que não sabiam do que eu estava a falar. Mandei um email para o apoio de cliente mas não obtive resposta.

Agora: não estou de forma nenhuma a dizer que não volto a comprar na loja, ou que foram antipáticos comigo pois nada disso é verdade. Até debati se a diferença de preços seria significante para escrever um post sobre isso. Mas para um jovem a estudar/desempregado/no seu primeiro emprego (e honestamente no estado em que está a nossa economia) penso que é relevante, imagine-se fazer uma grande compra online quando podia poupar talvez 20€ numa loja.
Há uns dias comprei um casaco online e reparei na loja que estava mais barato, daí ter surgido esta questão. Demorou algum tempo a processar a compra e entretanto ele já vem a caminho por isso nem vale a pena instigar se na altura em que comprei já seria mais barato.
Mas enfim talvez seja uma questão de falha de comunicação visto a marca não ser portuguesa e honestamente só reparei nisto numa loja específica.

De qualquer maneira aqui fica a dica!

What Santa Brought

Hello guys!
First of all Happy New Year :)
I've been tryling to get some pictures of outfits but lately it's been really hard to find good light around my house (and I'm my own photographer). The weather's been looking better so hopefully i'll try again tomorrow. Meanwhile I thought I'd show you guys some of my favorite Christmas gifts.

Tenho tentado tirar fotos aos meus últimos outfits mas ultimamente tem sido difícil encontrar boa luz na minha casa (e eu sou a minha própria fotografa) O tempo tem melhorado por isso com sorte amanhã tenho mais sucesso nesta tarefa! Entretanto pensei em partilhar convosco algumas das minhas prendas de natal favoritas.


Lush Goodies! Some ballistics: Golden Wonder, So White, Cinders (both of which i've tried before and love) and Christmas Eve bubble bar. Wrapped in plastic is a favorite of mine candy mountain bubble bar (which was starting to crumble).

 

Brazened Honey facemask

I've already tried this one and i loved it. I was a bit scared because i have sensitive skin and read in some reviews that it could be a bit harsh. It's not as moisturizing as Oatfix but it left my skin really soft (no redness whatsoever which is pretty cool). The smell is strong but i quite like it. It's much easier to apply then oatfix too because it dries very quickly and doesn't come in little chunks.

A Million Kisses liptint

I actually got this on sale so it's not really a gift. I wouldn't buy it full price because I think it's a bit expensive even though i really like Lush's liptints. I already own snow fairy but oh-my-gosh the color payoff of this one is amazing. I swatched it in a Lush store very lightly and this gorgeous red came out on my hand. Tried to rub it off but it wouldn't fade away entirely. Very impressive.

River Island Flatform trainers (Asos) and a new graphic diary

I I don't like most chocolats but i love these so much. It's the perfect bite size and filled with mint, yum.

Everyone deserves a "hey girl" christmas card ahah!
